[ he's taking a long pull of his own, going to pace around the room a bit. ]
Gregor, I've seen horrors incomprehensible to the mortal mind, things that imagination couldn't even conceive of without a thousand years of psychic torture spinning through the endless Astral Plane. Whatever is happening here isn't going to phase me, my friend.
[he contemplates this while he takes a drag, exhales smoke.
...yeah, that's a familiar level of horrors. it might-- it might be fine. it's being looked at the way people used to that's the worst, so if he doesn't, gregor can probably tolerate this.]
-alright.
[i'm not going to bug body horror image you with his actual identity that's like this, but suffice to say that lowkey losing it over this all day has Not helped his physical state whatsoever. he has antennae, he has a mandible-y bit on one side of his face and chitinous scaling on that cheek-- when he shrugs the hoodie off so it won't get in the way, he's got insectoid wings, and what looks like a couple extra bug legs on one side that have torn through the shirt. it's not great.]
[ he's honestly pretty curious, and he isn't going to pretend to hide that, but he certainly doesn't freak out in any capacity. tilting his head and pausing with his cigarette, tail flicking back and forth gently at the end. ]
I wouldn't say it's the most pleasant thing I've ever seen, but you're hardly a horror.
[ yeah listen if you wanted someone to be really nice and sweet about buggy parts there's lots of very diplomatic altruists around, but lucien seems at least genuine about truly not giving a shit if you've got some extra cockroach legs and won't baby anyone about it. ]
[that's honestly a little more welcome than being nice and diplomatic about it, right now. helps get him out of it a bit.]
Huh... [evaluating him for a second.] Yeah, guess I could see that. Don't get a lot of practice in against dual-wielding, either, none of the other Sinners do.

Doesn't have much to do with wanting or not wanting to look at it. It will be what it is regardless. No point in hiding it.

[just... checking. he accepts the match as well, lighting that cigarette up.]

[exhaling again, still tense, but maybe Slightly less so.]

[ he is joking, to be clear. tilting his head and giving him a crooked smirk. ]
Done feeling sorry for yourself or do you need a moment more?
no subject
[which comes with a little huff, but it's not fully annoyed. a little levity's welcome.
he keeps the cigarette tucked in the corner of his mouth, rolling one shoulder to test it. ...still good, even with the shift.]
What's your weapon of choice, anyway.
no subject
Scimitars. Two.

I know Rodya uses the axe. And yourself?
no subject
[he doesn't mind, entirely, it's nice to not worry about it, but.]
Seems like it's fine for sparring, just not much more than that.
