[ he's over by the observation deck with a bunch of crystal rats and such, looking out over the empty space where lotophagos was. he offers lucien a smile when he sees him. ]

You finally got your cannons! [ god how long ago had he brought those up. feels like years now. ]

[ are you okay my guy. he'll move the bag of... rats to make room. ]

They happened very much. [ so much cannon. ] Come, sit with me! [ he has some booze too since he didn't really drink at the party. ]

[ sidon isn't much for it either, but he's a social creature, and a drink tends to help set the atmosphere. gives people something to do when they're not as eager for conversation as he is. he'll pour him a little glass of something that's probably better than the rat moonshine in the Belly. ]

I did too. I still remember thinking how incredible space was, when I first got here. [ seeing entirely new planets hasn't quite lost its shine, despite everything. ] It wouldn't have been bad work, honestly, if not for all the murder and destruction and whatnot?

I couldn't even imagine it. The moon and stars play a role in our lives, but I never questioned what laid beyond them—that anything was here at all.

[ he takes a sip of his drink, looking at the stardust left where a planet was once. it's been an eye-opening journey, in many ways. it's also been an insanely long day, so his energy, while still friendly, is more relaxed. ]

It's strange, taking all this perspective back home. I almost feel naive for who I was before.

[ he lets out a soundless little huff, good-natured humor. ]

Ambitious from the start.

[ when you have nothing, maybe it's natural to want everything. a starving child, voracious for the world. he smiles over his glass. ]

But we just killed a god, you know. [ it's clear he thinks is pretty cool, actually. he has a very cute and fun sort of bloodthirst for these things. ] Bit overrated.

...Have you ever spoken to Margaret about her dreams? She seems to think they're small, but there's nothing wrong with changing the world in a less grand way. Changing the places around you, making things a little better for your people.
