[ Metis takes a moment to take off their helmet to set aside, though still seems to have a hood pulled over their head as they situate themselves in a seat. ]

I do not mind, Adrastea. I have watched Io do it a few times now so it'll be alright.

[ Their voice undisguised by the helmet is soft, warm, even as they move to start... extracting some blood from their left arm. OKAY SURE. ]

[ adrastea doesn't take their helmet off just yet, as they oversee what metis is doing. ]

If you're certain of it, I won't stop you. I'm asking Io where the scanner was stashed, now, but don't draw too much. We don't need a lot.

I wouldn't think of it.

[ A quick simple extract, nothing more or less. Which they'll pull their sleeve down afterwards, especially to cover the glimpses of blue on that arm. ]

Mayhap it would have been better were they to oversee... well, we can sort out the examination just fine.

[ giving them a bit of A Look as they pull the sleeve down, but their fox tails twitch and they go back to texting. ]

They've been in here every single night so far. We're perfectly equipped to run a scan without them.

We haven't used the scanner in a while... apparently it's in a box on top of the storage units.

[dropoffs]

[ Looking around and... up? ] Ah.

I'll get it. [ slipping off their stool and picking it up to take over to one of the cabinets. ] Take a look in the microscope while I figure out which box it is.

[ There's a nod, inching some of their hood further up so red eyes can peer around for the materials before transferring the blood sample to take a look. As they do, they start to mumble to themselves while they work. ]

Let us see if anything stands out in particular...

[ plunks the stool down at one cabinet, climbing deftly up onto it and starting to rummage through the boxes. they work silently, in contrast, though do deposit a box of more bandages down on one of the cots nearby before resuming their hunt.

That it is. [ A hint of amusement. ] Necessary for our examination.

[ pulls himself up to get a little more proper look at what they're up to ]

...you guys doing research?

[dropoffs]

Of a sort. We were unable to examine closely the nanites in our systems before, however we decided to take those matters in our own hands. Break a bit of rules?

[ As seen as they transfer the sample onto a microscope. ]

[ YOU SURE AS FUCK DID ] Our heart was always there to aid you, one way or another. [ A hand carefully touches his own head, hmmm. ] ..But I suppose, even just a little, it's been a bit clearer of how we can at least try to go about it.

[ he sits up attentively at that wording, crossing his legs as he brings them up to the cot. ]

We are planning to do a proper scan of nanites.

Technically we have scanned them before, but never considered to do so during a lockdown. [ They seem unfazed, it's okay. ]

Of course some things may be going against the company - but we have decided to simply start doing things our way now.
