To bargain for its own life? I imagine fairly high.

But it will be abandoning all the other worlds it has consumed to their fate. And leave our own worlds open for it to decide, one day, to seek them out. I believe we must kill it, and it can hear me say that.
Which is what we're trying to avoid. Right. [ hrm... ] The only trouble we have right now with just killing it is how deeply engrained it is to the ship's AI. Not to mention we don't know the full reach of its power. So...how do you kill one without wrecking the other?
Don't know much about AI. [ he literally had never heard of a computer until two months ago. ] But I imagine it will be similar to separating two souls, hm?
Perhaps there is a way to disentangle them by breaking them into parts, and reforming that which we wish to keep.
You and I have expertise in two very different areas, but with similar results. I don't know anything about separating souls, but I know machines. [ ... ] Is it possible to do that with a soul without a lot of damage? Breaking and reassembling.
